This webpage provides an Excel to compute the IBICAT2b fish index. The Excel is given as a Supplement to García-Berthou et al. (2016) and might be updated in the future. The IBICAT2b index was originally described (in Catalan) in Sostoa et al. (2010), in work funded by the Catalan Water Agency, and is summarized in English in García-Berthou et al. (2016). This index has only been validated for the Ebro and Catalan rivers so far (it might work in other river basins but it should be validated with environmental pressures). Please check the book chapter for further information and a detailed protocol. Please contact Dr. Mi-Jung Bae or Dr. Emili García-Berthou if you encounter any difficulty or problem with the Excel.
